This one has been bugging me all day reading through posts, people using terms in correctly which totally change thier argument. Case in point scraper sites, a scraper site is a site that steals by way of automated script the info from another site, then puts thier google ads in it. I agree this is a scummy practice that should be stopped.

Low content sites are not scraper sites, they suck too but are not stealing revenue from an actual content maker, content sites almost ALWAYS out perform low or no content sites. Low content sites are usually only effective when the term is very very rare ie. "yellow 1974 chevy nova paint swab" and to be honest it is a great way for advertisers to cover many terms they wouldnt have known to bid for, so they bid for nova paint swabs, but someone else ran around and collected the straggling searches and presented thier ad to them.

In short make sure when you hate a practice you call it by the right name. That would be like calling an email from your mother-in-law spam just because you would rather not get it doesnt make it spam ;-)

cheers

Scraper sites take large chunks of other sites to build their own poor excuse for a website THEN advertise on it.

Got rid of one that took the whole index page (with my name still in the "article" for LOL) of my smaller site and still trying to figure out how to get the one in India who did the same thing. THAT's scraper sites!
