Are all the Image ads CPM based? Anyone knows?

In other words if you see an image that means you earn?

Not necessarily. Image ads (CPC) have been introduced way before CPM ads were introduced. Hence, there maybe some advertisers who continue to use image ads for their CPC campaigns.

I know it can be confusing, as there is currently no way to tell if the image ad campaign is CPM or CPC. In my case, I always assume when I see an image ad that it is a CPC campaign. Only if I see text ads that fill an entire ad unit and looks like a PSA from the same advertiser as the image ad do I assume that the image ad I am seeing is indeed CPM.

Hope that G will tell us (a) breakdown of our earnings from CPM and CPC; and (b) breakdown of our earnings from text based ads and image ads.

Shouldn't that reporting feature have been in place and released when the CPM ads kicked in? That would have made more sense than Google playing catch up after the fact.

I think that would be so great if CPM ads reported separately.
