I have some great content, over 200 + web pages that are very relevant and informative on specific subjects. However, I am not getting the traffic and google rankings and of course revenue that I believe I deserve. Thus, my earnings have been not so great.

What could be the reasons for this? I thought content was king?

Not sure what you exactly mean by static or dynamic, but my pages are mostly plain text, a few graphics and have rich content.

Is the site new? It can take a while for a new site to attract legitimate inbound links and work its way up in Google's rankings. Also, how highly you can rank depends in part on who your competitors are.

As for AdSense earnings, content isn't the only factor that determines how much you earn. Other factors may include:

- Advertiser supply and demand within your niche

- The specific keywords and keyphrases on your pages that are targeted by AdSense

- How well your clicks convert for advertisers

The site was started in 2003, but only until now has there been a lot of devotion towards really building it up. Recently, the whole site was converted into pure HTML, as it was produced in publisher before.

As for some specifics to the ads:

The niche is excellent in terms of EPC, and the ads overall are pretty well targeted.

We can't give URL's here, as doing so is against the TOS and get deleted. But is your site the one listed under your homepage in your profile?

Yes, I hope I have not violated TOS by telling too much.

Could it be that you're not making any Adsense money because you're running Kanoodle ads?

My question for advice was for tips on how to improve google rankings, search referals to increase revenue. Not necessarily through adsense, but adsense-like advertising.

Then you are in the wrong forum... this is the AdSense forum. Everything in here is supposed to be specific to AdSense.

Putting your site down as your homepage in the profile is fine. I wasn't sure it was initially because that site is running Kanoodle ads, as has been pointed out.

If you are after information on how to promote your site, then you are deffinitely in the wrong place. There are other WW forums that are devoted to search engine optimisation and promotion.

As regards the ads, I notice that they aren't on all pages, and in most cases they are below the fold. I'd be inclined to have a banner on each page (possibly in the same position) and put a channel to each banner so that you know what pages adsense works on. I'd certainly be putting the ads above the fold.

You'd better discuss this in the WebmasterWorld forums about search engine optimization and link development.

For starters, I don't see very much popular keywords on the homepage. The site probably isn't ranking very well yet.

One thing I noticed was that there are very few ads on your site and often its the same one that displays on different pages. You say you have 200+ pages, I could only locate a dozen or so.

I guess my question was on a variety of topics that generally had to do with google rankings, advertising revenue that I thought adsense masters would be able to help out with.

Some answers:

The 200 pages are inclusive of the whole site including the blog.

The ads are on a lot of pages imo, the content pages where there is one above and below the article.

Not sure what one means by not great keywords.
