I have what I suspect is a fairly typical arrangement: 3 adsense sites (more on the way - I'm relatively new to the game) in one account. I have my channels setup the following way:
Site 1 - Homepage
Site 1 - Articles
Site 1 - Misc
Site 1 - Specific page 1
Site 1 - Specific page 2
Site 2 - Homepage
Site 2 - Articles
Site 3 - specific page 1
Something like that. Two questions here. Firstly, how do others manage their channels? I believe you can only have 100 channels, so what do those with 20+ sites do?
Secondly, is there a good way to add an extra level of per site summary reporting? When I've got my optimisation hat on, I'm very interested in each channel, but most days, I just want to know how much each site made. I can't tell how much site 1 made without manually adding up each of the site 1 channels.
How do others handle this?

Well, yes and know. You can add an extra channel for the site as a whole.
E.g.
channel 1: mysite.com/a
channel 2: mysite.com/b
channel 3: mysite.com
Channel 3 will give you 1 + 2 + ads on the home page.
The downside is your channel totals are screwed, since a and b are counted twice.
site all AdSense in navigation
site/.AdLink all AdLinks
site/.Content all AdSense in content area
For some smaller sites, only one channel, or if in several languages
site/.english
site/.german
The "." behind the "/" has the reason to influence the order in the list. Because of "/.", the real channels are always listed before the URL channels
For all new written folders, I create
URL channels.
This would be well beyond 100,
so I have to decide for each new URL channel to delete an old URL channel. Most times, the weakest performing URL channel is give up.
