Greetings everyone.
Very happy I've found this great forum.

I've found a niche on which it seems relatively easy to rank in the top 10 at google.
The drawback (if it is a drawback) is that adwords bids for this one are from $0.05 to $0.20.
Wordtracker is giving me 1500+ searches for this keyword.
If you are sure you can take this keyword to the top 10 in a few months, would you go for it, or the PPC would be too low to give it a try?

In situations like this I think there really is only one way to find out. So long as you can keep your expenses low, and have the time to invest in it, It may well be very worth your while.

The Search traffic is only part of the equasion. If you can become an authority within the niche repeats, and regular users may become a factor.

Thanks a lot Mack. I really apreciate your hint.
I have some experience as a webmaster but I'm kind of outdated, so adsense and affiliate bussiness are a pretty new topic for me.
I'm readind this forum and trying to learn from guys like you, and considering to start my first project yet.
thanks again.

I'd try to think of a broader theme, that has higher paying keywords as well.

When you design your sites, create pages with three different purposes:

  1. attract incoming links
  2. attract visitors (by targeting popular key phrases)
  3. attract high performing ads

Then try to spread pagerank from 1 to 2 (with an internal link structure) and visitors from 2 to 3 (using copywriting techniques).

Use rich, descriptive vocabulary and watch the logs/stats for keyword phrases used in searches. You can pick up some hidden treasures that way, and learn something more about what people are looking for.
