AdSense for Google News?

How to get the search box to search Google News?

I have been looking at the AdSense for Search function and I have a question.

I have a number of pages on my site which, without giving away my widget, are "profiles" on various people taken from my site's database. I would like to have an AdSense for Search page with my ads on it which displays results from Google News for the latest news items mentioning that person, with a few extra widget-related inclusions and exclusions to make sure the target person is the right one.

Is it possible via prepopulating the input tag (i.e. the search box) with advanced operators to search Google News instead of regular G? I'm guessing not, as Google News doesn't have any ads on it at all so I suppose AdSense for Google News is a way off. It would be a nice feature, though.

Google News is still in "beta" - must be almost the longest beta in internet history.

Consequently, I would have to agree with you that there is unlikely to be any commercialization of any products relating to it (including search) until it matures out of the "beta" phase.

You don't need to have the Adsense search box set up to search your web site, you can have it search any web site, (in fact you can enter up to 3 domains), just put in [news.google.com...] instead of your site domain.
