checking on-sale site isn't banned from adsense

getting into buying sites now but this is a major concern of mine.

Could I potentially write to G to find out if a domain has been banned from AdSense?

otherwise, how else would I do it...apart from asking the seller of course! :-)

and one that I would like to know the answer to (I've lately been thinking about maybe scooping up some sites to add to mine).

I suspect that Google might not tell you as they tend not to divulge any information whatsoever pertaining to other publisher's/domains etc. - I'd still ask though - stating that you are considering buying x site with a view to using adsense.

I guess you'd have to ask the person selling and get them to document as part of the contract of sale that they have never previously run Adsense on the site and/or been booted from the programme - so you have some comeback. I don't know if its possible to stage payents based on certain criteria.

Have you tried the Adsense preview tool? Maybe that won't show ads if the site has been banned - anyone know the answer to that?
