Adsense Ads Not Showing

Just wondering if this was normal, I am just noticing that my Adsense skyscraper ads on certain pages are not showing up but my box and link units show up fine. I know my code is right, I even redid it a few times to make sure. So im wondering, does Google stop displaying ads if the CTR is not high enough?

It happens, if you refresh a couple of times you may see a difference, even if it is PA ads.

There are a few things that could be going on here:

Do you have a robots.txt file?

Are you displaying more than one ad unit (the link unit should not be included in your count)?

Have you enabled JavaScript on your browser?

Do you have antivirus or personal firewall software installed on your computer?

I was noticing this on a couple of my sites and put it down to the fact that the content may be too fresh for the Adsense bot to have spidered and analysed it, further backed up by the fact that visiting the page a few hours later revealed the ads. I think I've heard about this affecting forum sites especially, because of their nature- dynamic content.

This is true; I was assuming your ads had been running for a while.

If you just pasted the code into your site it could be 48 hours or more before our crawlers are able to index your site and serve relevant ads.
