IntelliText and AdSense on the same page?

Is this allowed?

I saw a lot of sites are running IntelliText and AdSense on the same page, but I remember that Google does not allow other contextual ad scripts on the same page.

They can not mimic the look of google ads, but I assume that is up to the interpretation of google alone what mimics their ads.

I asked this from G before when IntelliText approached us, and they said NO because it is a competing contextual ad program.

But I still see a lot of sites doing both at the same time. You can try, but you may find your account at risk if and when G or another publisher sees you and report you.

I looked at IntelliTxt but considering what Google pays it's not worth the risk to even dabble with IntelliText for me, regardless of what others are getting away with.

IntelliText asked us to provide them with 10x the impression we are giving Adsense in a month at only 30% of our monthly Adsense income. They said that was the top price they would pay (they must have thought their quoted price was so high). So basically, it will take us 10 months to fulfill their impression requirements, but we will be getting a severe paycut.

No way.

However on some forums I have read that Intellitxt performs better than Adsense.

As always, it depends on the website. Like many income sources on the Internet, some will do well with it, and some will not.

In our case, it was a no-brainer to say No to them. Their offer was not enticing enough to remove Adsense from our pages. They were offering only 30% of what we were getting from Adsense in a month (their initial offer was for a fixed $x,#*$! for xxx,xxx number of impressions as a test)

But whether one can run both at the same time is something the website owner needs to verify lest they lose their account.
