Sometimes you just figure it wrong.

I had planned for summer to be dead as far as traffic... and that is getting to be the case more and more.

But I had also figured the companies running AdWords that show on my site would be spending less due to it being very off-season for their products now.

That isn't the case! They must be competing more than ever now for the few dollars that are trickling in.

My earnings per click are doubled, so this month will finish great. Low traffic... earning more per click... I'm coming out fine -- almost what I did in my best month so far (over $1500). :-)

Thought I'd share a surprise that is making me smile.

Anyone else notice that your advertisers are willing to spend more per click when there are less folks sitting at home on the internet?

You may also be reaping the benefits of the rumored phenomenon of lower visitors/lower clicks= higher epc.

For what it's worth, in June (compared to April and May) my site has had:

1) A substantial increase in traffic

2) A significant increase in CTR

3) A noticeably increase in EPC

This doesn't prove or disprove anything; it just suggests that what's true for one site may not be true for another (probably because there are so many factors that determine a site's average EPC).

I've had a gentle but continuing increase in EPC, while everything else remains constant.
