Does anyone know if Adlink clicks are booked on the url channel they originate from?

Impressions seem to be reported, but what about the clicks?

Thanks in advance!

According to their Adsense Support area:

Am I paid for clicks on link units?

AdSense publishers are paid for clicks on the ads that are linked from link unit topics, but not for clicks on the initial topics themselves. The ads on the linked page are pay-per-click Google ads similar to those shown in regular AdSense ad units.

Your reports will not track clicks on the link unit topics, but will log clicks on the Google ads from the resulting page.

Thanks CannonFodder, but that doesn't say anything on how they are reported.

I'll rephrase my question: are the final clicks that bring in the money booked on the url channel they originate from?

My guess is: no, they need a custom channel if you want to count them seperately. Anyone know for sure?

I think they are. I have a separate 'code' channel for my adlinks and when I look at the stats for all of the channels at once I see the total at the bottom being greater than the 'aggregate' total for the same time period. The difference is close to the amount of the adlinks channel so they seem to be counted twice. I suspect there may be a couple pages not covered by any channel thus the lack of an exact difference.

charlier, thanks for your comments, but I need to know specifically about URL channels.

Are adlinks counted into the URL channels they are originating from, or not?
