Google Adsense pay per impressions?

Is it new policy?

I thought that Google Adsense is only about pay per click, but I just read this from adsense "Common Questions" : [google.com...]

"The Google ads you are able to display on your content pages can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-1000-impressions (CPM) ads, while AdSense for search results pages show exclusively CPC ads. This means that advertisers pay either when users click on ads, or when the advertiser's ad is shown on your site."

If they also have the pay per impression program, then does anyone in here know how much they pay per 1000 impressions?

CPM pricing is a new feature of AdWord. You can lean more from Goolge at the following URL:

[adwords.google.com...]

This program has been discussed here in the past. We have not seen any CPM ads on our site so far.
