I currently use a company that pays me $1.40cpm ban+pop *after commision* no defaults.

Would I get a higher cpm using adsense or is that around how much they pay too?

There is no straight answer - it depends on your site and what sort of adverts it attracts from AdSense

The general feeling is that you get good money from Google, probably better than you are getting at the moment.

In the final analysis the only way to find out is try the code on some of your sites and see

Cornwall is absolutely right. You just have to try it for yourself. There are certain topics where the payout is horrible but if your site is in the topic area you could benefit a lot from Adsense.

Site may not include:

Excessive profanity
Hate, violence, racial intolerance, or advocate against any individual, group, or organization
Hacking/cracking content
Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia
Pornography, adult, or mature content
Gambling or casino-related content
Excessive advertising
Pop-ups that interfere with site navigation or are for downloads

You may want to modify your current ad campaign if you are going to apply for AdSense, especially if your pops are for downloads.

Pop-up ads are the worst thing that a publisher can do to his/her readers. If getting AdSense will enable you to get rid of pop-up-s then AdSense is the way to go for you!

By the way: I was reading just an interview with Google grounders and they said that they wanted to provide to users goog search results without pop-ups!
