Ok I know people can't disclose everything about their ads, but I was wondering:

I'm making an HTML tutorial site

does anyone have ads that are web related?
If so do you in general may a lot or not?
Is the payment per click good?

Hope you can tell me without violating TOS.

thanks

Skinny... you can download the adsense preview tool (do a google search for it).

with the tool, you can find out what ads would show up on any page. you can try this on your own pages that are already published online. if you dont have your pages online, you can visit a site similar to the one that you are envisioning, and use the tool there.

to get a sense for the value of clicks, you can try overture's bid estimation tool.

in the end however, i think your success will be determined if you can make a great site. there was just a thread about someone making LOTS of money posting information about historical information about wars an human rights.

if i was you, i would focus on something that you are passionate about, and something that you wont get bored of... if you keep at it, and think about your visitors first: the money will come.

if you try to make sites for the money only, i don't think you will reach the same level of success in the long run. my two cents.

I think the hardest thing you'll find is there are a million and one sites out there with HTML tutorials. And so you will find it very hard to compete with all the other ones to get traffic.
