Minimum traffic for applying to Adsense

Is there any traffic requirement for a new site registering with Adsense?

Just getting started and wondered if there is any minimum traffic requirement for Adsense. I would like to apply to see what sort of ads are displayed for the content shown on various pages.

any thoughts or suggestions from the more experienced (that must mean anyone else)?

thanks

I don't believe there are any traffic requirements. Right after (2-3 days) i started my blog I applied and got accepted.

There's an AdSense preview tool that you might find useful too. It shows you what ads Google would show on any page in its index. You can get it from Google's own AdSense pages.

I started a site with several info pages using the Wordpress blog program. I used Wordpress as it seemed ideal for organizing material into specific types. Submitted to Adsense and just got rejected.

We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below. If
you are able to resolve these issues, please feel free to reply to this
email for reconsideration when you have made the changes.

Issues:

- Page type

---------------------

Further detail:

Page type: Your website is a type of website that we do not currently
accept into our program. Such websites include, but are not limited to,
chat sites, sites that drive traffic through cybersquatting, and sites
that use excessive keywords in the content or code of their pages.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Thought what I had on the pages was just info and the
only possible overuse of a keyword was to use it in the
title of many of the pages because that seemed to be the best description, e.g.,

History of widgets
Types of widgets
New developments in widgets

but that doesn't seem to have to do with "Page Type"

any suggestions or thoughts?

Thanks

I dont know if that was it, or, the fact that in WordPress versions <= 1.2.1, the author put lots of spam in it to drive traffic to WordPress.

Do some Googling about this Wordpress Website Search Engine Spam, and it might give you more insight.
