AdSense performance from Google's standpoint...

Most publishers are happy, what about Google?

Any insider news on how well AdSense is living up to Google's expectations?

They went from 100K to 150K advertisers, so it can't be bad.

That number is overall advertisers including AdWords, not just AdSense :-)

Of course. But I think that huge increase was due to adsense. It took them a long time to get to 100k, then shortly after coming out with adsense they jumped to 150k. This is my impression, though I don't have the sources in front of me.

How long did it take to get to 100k? From what I understand when they first announced the actual number of advertisers last year it was a complete suprise that they had that many. I thought 100k was also the first public number they released which means we don't really know the timeframe or more importantly the growth rate at which advertisers sign up.
