Comments on adlinks?

I was skeptical about adlinks. But after trying them out for a couple of days, I would have say that it looks like they add to the bottom line. I wonder if they counteract ad fatigue since leaderboards and adsense banners are now everywhere and are blending into the landscape to some extent like traditional banners; whereas adlinks look just like text links. The nice thing about them is the two step process: it's very difficult for users to not pick up on the fact that they are, in fact, ads.

I would like horizontal Adlinks! But yes, they contribute about 10% of my earnings each day and fit very nicely into my side navigation.

Horizontal ad links would be great!

I can't use the vertical ones because they totally clash with my design and really stick out.

I first thought that it sounds like a win-win situation after reading the post referred to above. The same as you, I thought that text links look more subtle and like regular links.

So, I added them to my site by replacing a 125x125 square. So, all I had was the Adlinks unit, and a 336x280 adblock, both blended in to match the bg of the page. I added this on 80% of my site, and did this for 8 days.

The results:
the page impressions went down, while my daily traffic stayed the same(?!)

eCPM went down -- largely due to the fact that Adlinks units pay less per click.

My experience:
I'll stick with the tried and tested 125x125 adblock, and remove adsense from any pages with a monthly average CTR of 1% or less, to keep eCPM as high as possible.

If it's feasible with your page layout, try adding a small Ad Links block in the upper left. I've tried 'em all over the page and this is by far the best placement. My suspicion is that this is because most web page readers have been conditioned to look to the upper left for a navigation menu. Give it a shot if it isn't too big a departure for your page layout. GOOD LUCK!

That was your mistake.

Don't replace anything with AdLinks, ad them as an also-ran AdSense method.

Upper left in the nav area worked best for me.

At me, AdLinks have a higher EPC in average

Income from last 2 days

51% AdLink in navigation area
44% 300x250 in navigation area
5% Some few pages have a 120x600 or 160x600 right from the content
