I personally found that filtering eBay from Adsense has increased my eCPM...I started 2 days ago, and have seen an increase from 5.65 eCPM to about 7.80 eCPM

This could just be a fluke...so I will let the rest of the you know what happens as time goes on...

Is there anyone filtering for higher eCPM? If so what type of sites are you filtering?

Since we can't post any URLs....I suggest using general words...categories of sites in your examples...or better yet send me a PM with your list :)

I filter all what is not a real offer.

Sites selling Italians, the vatican and used dog cake
Sites reselling my visitors without an own offer
Sites showing all the yachts and Ferraris, You will have after 2 years joining their MLM

jetteroheller,

What is the best way to get their URLs?

So far i have been right clicking on the ad and looking at the properties and getting the URL from there.

What is the best way to get their URLs?

AdSense preview tool.

There is also an option to view the real URL.

The AdSense preview tool shows also far more ads than the page.

My standard sites have only one 300x250 showing 4 ads maximum.

You can also finetune your filter with us-only advertisers. Previre your ads by setting us and non-us and you will see the differnec in ads. Only us-vistors are shown very high value kw.

locating and blocking crap ads does help eCPM - but i think g's system now auto selects "best performing" ads to show... it just takes awhile to evaluate which ads those are...

we seem to get a lot of flux across our channels - with some dropping 50-80% for a few hours and then springing back up later on... sometimes they are down low for 24hrs then rocket up to really high eCPM before settling in to "normal" ranges... and the cycle repeats every week or so... this seems to be the new pattern on what was always a fairly stable eCPM network...

when a big drop occurs i naturally investigate to see what ads are causing them... and i do block ads that con my visitors - like survey sites etc...

i've also found that blocking "big brand" advertising also helps click through rates... it seems at least our surfers don't like to click brands that they already know all about and see on TV / papers / everywhere else under the sun... it's actually weird... the more obscure the ad / product / brand - bigger the response - noticed this with our banner ads in past and assume same is happening with text ads...

still - i've nearly reached the limit of my 200 site blocklist... which i hope they increase to 500 soon! i really really don't like the idea of rogue AdWords advertisers abusing my site and visitors with their SCAMS and CRAP ADS... i don't care if i get paid for clicks on bad ads - i want good quality relevant ads for our users...
