My adsense Story - 9 months

Increased earnings each month

For me, I continue to improve my adsence earnings. Each of the last 9 months have been better then the last. I try my best to outperform each month. 9 months ago I earned $950. Each month it gradually increased, and for May I brought in $12,500.00. I'm shooting for 10 months in a row of an increase, but think that summer will probably make it tough.

Anyhow, Over those 9 months I have added pages, added sites, blended the ads into the sites better, added more ads, and increased the traffic to my sites. Its been a great learning experience. Google represents about 1/3 of my total revenue, so if it were to decline I still wouldn't be in bad shape. Being 23 years old, I still have a lot of time ahead of me to play around with things. I'm trying to save as much as I can while times are good because I know that any day things could turn around.

Good job! Don't look for 10 months in a row, but 15, 20 or 25, think big and often it really does happen. :)

Great job!

And I thought I was doing well this month :)

Do you mind telling us in general terms the kind of site?

Directory, blog, forum, hobbyist, business, etc?

Way to go!

You'll need to drop the "rookie" moniker around here, though... I'd say you're an expert :)

Added sites? In 9 months? How can you make more than one site per baby?

This rookie makes no more than 0.25 sites per year, junior. And that's Internet years baby.

Maybe he is using scraper sites...

Not that there is anything wrong with it. :)

Nah none of them are scraper sites. Basically the sites are in all areas. Investing, Personals, Humor, product reviews, forums, etc

>>>Maybe he is using scraper sites...

Geez... Two hundred years ago people would remark about a successful person that he must have a pact with the devil. Now this.

It's 2005, we can stop being primitive now.

Dude, congrats on a job well done!

Do you know...sometimes I wonder? :-)))

I'm not saying you are not doing it however I know a helluva lot of people who have tried this game and failed miserably.

Adsense ain't easy...are you just firing across a broad spectrum and finding the click'ems?

Sure as hell if we could convert one site's EPC into another site's actual Clicks we would be making fantastic earnings however the reality is that will not happen.

Good luck to you if you've found a "system"...

PS Sticky me the answer:-))

I've been running sites in one form or other since 1997 when I was 15. Sorry i don't really feel comfortable naming the sites I run now as some people sticky mailed me too. I wish you all luck and hope you can find equal if not better success. Who knows where the next 9 months will be headed. Hopefully upwards even more, but to be honest I'm happy where I am at now. Anything else will just be icing on the cake, and give me the ability to maybe start some new projects and save for when (hopefully never) things turn around and are not so bright.

Sounds like you are doing well with what you are doing, keep up the good work.

You say only one third of your revenue is from Google.
Would it be possible to get an idea of how you are earning the other two thirds?

The rest of the revenue is mostly from direct banner sales to advertisers as well as some CPM banners.

How many sites do you have?

How do you get advertisers? do you contact them yourself or do they contact you through your sites?

Way to go, Rookie. Can I ask how you get the content? Do you hire people to write it, use existing articles from article banks, or write it yourself?

Also, an obvious warning: many of us were like you before this Google Bourbon update (and Allegra, too), and they've burned many a site that otherwise seems to adhere to the Google Webmaster guidelines. So, definitely invest the money while you can and prepare for many ups and downs in the coming months and years.

Anyway, keep up the good work, and do let us know how you do in the future.

I would agree with those who say invest our $$$. I try to take as much as my online earnings and invest them offline in "real world" investments lol. Try to take your money and have it make more money via rental properties, a business, etc. Pick your flavor. Just my .02.

Most of my content is original, however only a small portion of my pages are generated by myself Most are forums or interactive type sites.

By the way, This months adsense has already surpassed last months revenue. That makes 10 months in a row now of increased earning. I'm not planning on 11 months since July and august tend to be the slowest months for me. I'll keep trying my best to improve things but won't get my hopes up.

Thanks for sharing your information Roockie. It is inspiring for me that only makes $300 a month.

Can i ask how many sites you have going? Is it over a dozen?
