Increasing my CTR through a <frame> setup.

I currently display product particulars near the top of the screen and AdSense to the right of it. We will call all of that the "header". Underneath the header, I then show pages of content with a paging mechanism. Each time a new page of content is displayed, the header is also refreshed (and thus the AdSense ads).

If I place the content in a seperate frame and only update that frame when the customer pages, I will then prevent the AdSense ads from updating (which could significantly help CTR), BUT the customer will only see a few AdSense ads so there will not be as much to choose from. Decisions.

Anyone else tried these two scenarios? What were your results? If the ads are decently targeted (which they tend to be), should I really worry about more ads per product (no, these are not my products)?

If you're talking about changing the content but keeping the AdSense ads static I doubt that Google would approve.

Nope. That is not exactly what I am talking about. All the content pertains explicitly to the product, but if I seperate the product description/features (in the header) from the rest of the product content (in the paging logic)...

Also, I would surmise that I would need some frame logic in there so if a content page is indexed (and clicked in a SERP), that the header comes up properly so the content is not just sitting there without appropriate header association.

I understand your idea, Stephen. I never tried it myself, but I think it's not a good idea. Logically, adsense should serve the page that has contents.

The header is all about a products features and such. AdSense is matched with this content. The proposed content in the frame below is just more detailed information about the product. Details of each feature. See what I am talking about?

Anyone actually experiment with this situation?
