What are we really up against here?
I'm wondering if there's a way to use the AdSense code inside an "include" statement so that it would be invoked at the server level instead of depending on the user's browser. Possible?
Your average surfer isn't going to go to all that trouble.
When I received our new XP Pro SP2 box back 8 months ago I had to download the Java program myself.
Do you mean Java or Javascript? Cause they are 2 very different things.

That makes no sense at all, unless I'm reading it wrongly. The Adsense code runs as JS via the local machine interpreter.
Basically, everybody will see the AS ads unless they switch off all JS parsing, or they install the dreaded NIS, or etc. Best bet is just to trall your logs looking for your stats, as people who have JS switched off are either techies or paranoids.

It makes sense to me, it would get around ad blockers and the likes, but I dont know if google would allow it.
When the ad code is in JavaScript, G can go in and check on it any time they please.
When its in PHP, ASP, or something like that, they cant see the original code and therfore cant verify that it hasnt been modified.

also, the types of people who have js disabled probably wouldnt click too many ads anyways

Can someone please explain this to me? I do not modify my AdSense code, but I do place them all within SSIs. Why would this not be allowed? Or are you saying that "getting around ad blockers" is what they wouldn't allow?
Thanks!
For bigger publishers, you can do all sorts of fun things; heck, they will even give you ads in XML if you want.
