How to see US ads when located outside US?

Is there a US proxy to use?

I am located in Denmark (Europe) so when looking on the pages on my website with AdSense, I see Danish language ads or ads targeted to the European market.

I would like to know which ads my US audience sees. I realise that I could use a proxy based in the US to have American ads served. But the freely accessible proxy-server I can find on the web, either sort out the AdSense ads or Google does not allow the ads to be shown. (I guess this makes sense in order to avoid click fraud.)

Is there some way I can see my page (including AdSense ads) exactly as my United States audience sees them?

Install the Adsense preview tool:

Thank you, activeco. A very nice tool indeed. I didn't know of it.

However, it doesn't let me see the page exactly as a US visitor sees it. I e.g. use two Square ad units, and the Preview Tool only gives me Skyscraper and Banner.

Does anyone know a way to do this?

Usually, there is no page which an "US user sees".
If there are plenty of advertisers, the ads are rotated and provided according to IP addresses.
I think (not sure), Adsense works even with regional geo-targeting, which means that users in California and Illinois don't have to see the same ads, even if visiting the page at the same time.

If your purpose is adsense impressions/click tracking, try a search for those terms, either here in the forum or in a SE.

I did a bit more searching and found a anonymous proxy server that works with AdSense:
[samair.ru...]

And in fact as you say ads are rotated even if I just reload the page.

It is interesting to see how different the ads are for some topics. For my finance page, the ads don't change (from Europe to America), but for dating and ringtones, they are very different.

The reason I wanted to see US ads, is that some days my earnings double without having more page views. So I wanted to identify the new ads that pay more per click or make users click more.

Check the TOS-es for both of this forum and Google Adsense.
This forum doesn't accept too specific url's of the third parties and regarding Google, even viewing your ads with a proxy could be very risky.
You don't have to click but the chances are good you are still registered as using a proxy (cookies, etc.) on your own page, which could have some unwilling consequences.

I now read the webmasterworld TOS, but I think I am within the limits. The link was meant to be informative rather than promotional, and I am in no way affiliated with the site. For sure the site I posted is in the grey zone, but it was a way to achieve what I wanted.

I don't think Google will come after me as long as I don't click any ads, but thank you for the warning anyway. I'll use the Google AdSense Preview tool in the future to stay on the safe side.
