when i started adsense i created few channels without knowing what channels are and why u use them, i thought if i will use the channel "bikes" the adds will be displayed for the bikes, so after i put adds on my whole website and start making money i closely read the working of adsense and found that channels are only used to track the banners and help in the reports..now one of my adds are getting a CTR of 1$ per click and i have no clue which are those adds as i didn'nt make channels to track the impressions and clicks of the adds..

please advice me that what i should i do now to know which of my adds are making more revenue.

Now that you know what channels are for - use them.

Yeah you're going to have to make new channels, create new adsense code, and put them on all your pages. In other words... Start Over! ;-)

you could cut and paste the channel number line into the java script - but you could get kicked out of adsense if you screw it up.

Or, if you have a lot of pages in a particular channel in a separate folder on your computer then you might be able to use search and replace to change it to the new number.

if you are redoing your adsense code, put it in an include that way in the future only that will need to be changed. I have several include files with different adsense codes. Makes testing variations and making changes easier for the long haul.

Is this correct.

I have a channel called www.widgets.com

Just created a custom channel for 5 pages on that site, added the code etc eagerly awaiting some sort of figure.

When I look at performance of channels it will still show me the www.widgets.com earnings and should also show me the new channel earnings, will the new channel earnings be subtracted from the www.widgets channel or must I subtract it myself to get a true picture.

In short do those 5 pages not get classified with www.widgets?

the URL channels duplicate the Active channels, so you might show 10 views against www.widgets.com, and 5 against newChannel, but it still only means 10 views on the site.

I do a summary view (Date Range: today, Group data by: date, show: aggregate data) to get the total and then know that my channel figures are under that.
