August checks overdue?

My July check was sent on August 20

Just wondering if anyone has received notification of an August check being sent out.

While last month it indicated that the checks were issued on 8/20, they were not actually mailed until about 8/29 which was the date that Google posted the 8/20 date in the Account Information section. I suspect it will be next week before August checks are mailed.

Google uses a third party vendor to issue the checks. The date Google "pays" is, presumably, the date it issues a great big check and a huge database of payment information to that third party vendor. Several days later, after processing that information, the vendor prints and mails the individual checks.

August was the first month I qualified for a payment - I don't care too much when the cheque arrives - but I notice that my account is still showing zero in the payment section.

Shouldn't something be showing there yet?

I JUST recieved my July checks 3 days ago. I'm good for a bit ;)

And I've learned that my banck will send it around the world for 4 weeks. That means if you make 100$ on hte first day of the month it'll take a grand total of FOUR months to arrive. How about direct transfers account-to-account and other alternate payment methods? Checks seem a bit antiquated with all that fancy ecom and internet technology flying about.

Google mentioned (I don't remember if it was on their site or in an email I received from them) that they were working on alternate payment solutions, as well as issuing checks. Hopefully direct deposit would be one of them.

It would make a big difference to me, cutting TWO WHOLE MONTHS from my payment cycle. And especially since I recently started to get myself out of a financial pinch, the extra two months really hurt.

Last month my cheque was mailed on the 28th from New York and had a payment date on the cheque itself of the 27th. I don't think the payemnt details actually appeared in the AdSense stats until the 29th or so.

Nothing here yet. My July payment was postmarked 8/28 and received 8/30.

Since my other sponsor conflicted with AdSense I dropped them. They paid less but paid 10 days after the end of the month.

It's cashflow crunch time.

You may well find that the payments will appear in our adsense stats on the 11th hour (so to speak). They did their best to get the checks out last month and did quite well.

I think the heavier ones take longer to travel. (lol)

Yes. Checks received after Tuesday will not have been received within 30 days. But I was referring to the account stats showing the payment.

Google will mail you a check within 30 days after the end of each calendar month that Google AdWords ads are running on your site if your earned balance is US $100 or more.

They don't promise that you'll receive the check within 30 days - just that they will mail it within that timeframe. It is possible that a problem with its check vendor could cause a small delay, but I have no doubt that checks will be forthcoming.

I was really hoping the techies at AdSense would have picked up on this and changed this quote to match what is says in the FAQ/Terms. There were plenty of discussions on this last month, but bottom line is that the FAQ/Terms/Policies will override whatever they happen to say elsewhere.

Last month, payment showed up in accounts on August 29th, but they were backdated to August 20th as the date of payment in the AdSense account. I believe people started receiveing their checks the following day (30th). So they were actually put in the mail on the date they showed up in the AdSense account.

Earnings were only posted on the 29th or 30th last month. So, we should see some signs of activity any day now. As well, like Jenstar said, you should actually start receiving checks in your mail box from one day after mailing up to the 6th of October. I have read, however, in some extreme cases (depending on country of residence) that you may have to wait up to a month to receive your check in the mail. Or, if you're Killroy...maybe a few months? ;)

I think the company maybe having problems catching up with the huge increase of cheques that needed to be sent. I saw a LOT of med-sized sites joining AdSense recently.

This is so 'interesting' yet relieved to hear that Google checks are 'on the way.'

I 'THINK' Google only updates our account status AFTER all cheques have been sent.

My dad told me that these companies have some kind of stamp machine (forgot the technical name) and they use it to print out evelopes. So I guess they deal with US cheques first. Then they will turn their attention to international cheques (me, and a lot of other people).

need help with something slightly off topic. I had changed the payee name on Sept 28th. Think it will get reflected in the cheque for the month of september itself or from next month? when does google take the info from each account (like address / payee name etc) i had thought it would b on or after the end of the month(30th), but could any1 plz clear my doubts.

My check arrived in Belgium this morning, it is postmarked 26th of September 2003.

Too bad that they don't have other payment methods/currencies at the moment :( I loose quite a lot of money from the conversion to euros.
