can someone explain how it works

I notice now instead of usual ads tehy have ones that look like menus

called lINK UNITS

how do they work..? do you get paid when someone clicks through 1st time or only on the second page?

You only get paid when they click twice. I tested adlinks on a few pages last month, liked what I saw, now they are on all of my pages.

I wish I could post actual stats, but alas, against TOS. Bottom line so far this month: $551.65 - From a channel created just for adlinks. They work.
