Spike in Earnings

Due to adwords advertisers blocking scrapers?

Is any one else with content sites seeing an increase in earnings since adwords advertisers were allowed to block scraper sites?

I don't know if this is the reason my earnings are up but things seem to have had an upward trend at about the time the new blocking feature was put in place.

That's strange. My site goes with schools too--mostly primary and secondary--but today is an all-time-high. I find my numbers don't drop until the end of May. Is it otherwise with you?

EPC climbs, now little bit above February average, still below Jannuary.

Special high EPC spikes in the channel statistic.

Maybe this high paying ads had been absorbed by special designed scrapers and now they appear on my sites.

Actually I had an interesting spike today.

Since May 5th I've been seeing a HUGE decline in revenue, yet today it seems to be back to normal.

I also saw a huge spike today, but, I did a little tweaking on my ads. On some pages I reduced the number shown, on some pages I increased the number of ads shown, and added ads to some pages that in the past did not contain ads, but only a very few.

But that was today, I want to see what Fri. Sat. Sun. and Mon. are. So I am not changing a thing till at least the weekend.

I started seeing 50 cent clicks lately. This is my first month flirting with adsense.

Just now added search content aswel.
do search content clicks produce high CPC?

Not mine. I'm lucky if I make $5 a month. But I needed a search anyway and was using Google, so why not make $5 a month for my trouble and to cover my bandwidth for the searches is what I figure.

May has been a roller coaster month. Big drop in EPC, CTR, and revenue until about 4 days ago. Now things have returned to "normal" (whatever the heck that is).

I'm averaging a little bit lower then usual. Guess the blocking of scraper sites doesn't have much effect on my kind of sites. Or I need to wait a little longer in order to see effect.

Yes, revenue this month more than doubled. Was wondering what did it. Good for Google, elimnating the parasites.

Perhaps it somewhat depends on your area. A site on 18th century poets may not see as much benefit from adwords site blocking as a site on mortgages.

I'm seeing the main increases on real content sites in areas that also tend to be highly targeted by scrapers.

I was also wondering if perhaps Google was using site blocking data as a part of smart pricing, i.e. giving less to sites that were frequently blocked by a range of advertisers.

There have been a few changes this month - don't know which to attribute todays spike to. Back to the EPMs of last year... least yesterday and today - fingers crossed that this isn't a fluke. With the increased traffic I get now, today might break a few records :)

Big rise in amount per click here, in stead of an average of 5ct now 75ct per click for me today.

I never really connected the two, but since reading the original post in this thread and having a look at my stats, I see that my overall earnings jumped by about 40% a day or two after the changes. And I thought it was because of my superior optimization skills. Darn... ;-)

<edit>Edited so it actually makes sense... LOL</edit>

Actually I had a drop today. I should have written "knock on wood" in my first post. So much for my theories.

Adsense payouts for me remain a "riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma".
