Google AdSense Ads for RSS Feeds Launched

Hi, I was just reading some blogs and noticed AdSense is now accepting publishers to participate in their RSS ads beta program.

AdSense for feeds is a program that enables publishers to place relevant ads in the feeds they syndicate. Google technology understands the nuances of language, and places ads that are closely matched (or "targeted") to the content next to which they appear. Learn more…

If you are a current AdSense publisher and your feed has more than 100 active subscribers, you may qualify for participation in AdSense for feeds (BETA). If you'd like to participate, simply fill out the application below.

You still have to get approved, though, so I'm assuming that this will probably be reserved for the "larger" publishers out there.

You need to have at least 100 subscribers, and there are additional terms applicants must agree to. But they are opening up this beta test to the public quite quickly, when it was only seen in its first tests a few weeks ago.

how do i get to know the number of my subscribers. i have an RSS feed for my content, but have no idea how many actually subscribed to it.

I know that some web sites publish rss feeds from other sites. I wonder if this will lead to them inadvartantly showing adsense from two publishers on the same page?

Your logfiles should give you an approximate idea.

Sorry not sure I'm following this exactly. Can I assume you would look at the rss feed's URL for an indication of how many times it is being sent out after an update?

You'd look at how many times the RSS feed was requested after an update and isolate unique IP's.

It's a very rough guide only, but if you look at the page on Google, they are only asking for a very rough guide.

Where shall it be delivered?

1. To your reader / aggregator?

2. To your webpage applied / fitted to content published by providers?

3. What about security? There are security leaks in
webbrowsers, that are relatively mature.

4. What about manipulating content, superimposing
your own content on the Ad?
