I noticed higher CRT for pages that I re-upload even if the changes I made to the page are very minor (such as adding one link!).

Has anyone noticed this wiered effect before?

No, not for regularly updated pages.

But I can see that happening for pages that have been barely touched. I attribute it more though to better targeting - since you changed the page, the mediabot came back to take another look at the page and hopefully gave better targeted ads.

Shafaki,
Can you test out Alika's comment by changing a page that was updated a day or two before to see it this just happens with older pages?

Thanks!

I've seen the same thing.
My take is that when I upload a new page Google targets the ads based on the content on the page.
The simple and quick solution.
Because I control this page the ads are usually exactly what I'd like to placed there.
Within a few days Google is able to place the page within the context of all your pages and the rest of the net (basically the normal Google algo has time to judge you page) This usually results in a watering down of your new pages relevance for a specific topic.

You just need to visit forums with adsense to see this working.
A new thread can be completely off topic but the ads will match that new topic.
Within a few days the ads will change to more closely align to the sites overall theme.

And I thought it was just me. My SOP now is to upload a new page or two at once whenever I experience a low CTR or EPC, and more often than not I am able to arrest the slide within a day or two. I know it's probably just a coincidence, but this SOP of mine accelerates my content building so I'll keep on with it.
