How do i stop some adsense ads?

Adsense ads show exactly opposite to, what my site talks about

I tried using filtering, but iam tired of enetring their URL's.
If google has some fine filtering based on business sector/field, that would be great.

I entered 3 urls and adsense never sends those ads again, but onother company ads show up.
This way, i have to enter 100's of urls to stop them.

I hope, i can find a solution from experienced adsense publishers on this forum.

conjo, "opposite" in what way? Are you posting negative reviews of a product and getting ads for it? Or are you writing about "A service" and saying that "B service" is much better, but only getting ads for "A service." Or something else?

Some topics do not work well with contextual advertising.

I had a site that was against pesticide use, and guess what all the ads were for?

hunderdown, ve3

My site says, don't do that and do this (Just in one line)
Guess what, i see all ads relating to what my site says to avoid.

Now, to counter that i added nice descriptions of other services on Homepage with a link to detailed explanations of it to my sub-domain page.
Hope this helps.
I have done that today and would like to see some improvements.

It may also be because, there are plenty of advertisers in that segment, with 3 cents per click. I hate this.
I have got around 60 clicks in 8 days and made only $3.63. Well this is my second week anyways.
Thanks for your responses and hope to see some help.

I strongly suggest taking out all "don't do this" statements. Focus on what you are saying to DO.

The only reason I can think of to leave those "don't" statements in is if you believe they are bringing you traffic from the search engines. If so, you have something of a problem.

Adding more content, as you have done, may help. This may also be self-correcting--if customers click on the ads you like, they'll be the ones that get shown. Google gives you the ads that "work best" in terms of revenue, but that can take some time to shake out.

hunderdown,
Thanks for very detailed response.
I will do my best editing that one line.
But the ads also have to do more in the area, i am in. So, changing that one line may not help.

I can send a sticky email with my url and would like some suggestions for better results.
Please let me know.
thanks

I'm not an expert, just telling you a few things to keep in mind. I'd wait to see what develops over the next few weeks if I were you.
