I'll be very happy if it continues this way, CTR and eCPM in realms I have never seen before!
how can you draw any reasonable trend from it?
Precisely by what I have written.
Nearly five hours of unprecedented figures for me. What's so difficult to understand about that?
"five hours of unprecedented figures" happens all the time. And then usually evens out to normal figures by the end of the day.
I'm not not disagreeing with you there however my subject line was querying whether 05/05/05 had been resolved since our earnings for last Thursday and Friday were still showing very low figures whereas we had absolutely "normal" days insofar as we were concerned.
Our earning are normally extremely stable therefore I was wondering whether anyone else was seeing an unusual increase in earnings today?
You could be seeing a click dump, but hopefully it's just shaping up to be a good day for you, enjoy the bonus.

Wait until midnite PST to make conclusions.
I'm not making any conclusions, I just wondered whether anyone else was seeing similar figures.
I may just be having a great day, I may be on the right end of smart pricing or then again I may be getting a nice click dump in lieu of last week's blip.
Whichever it may be, it's starting the week very nicely.

The thing is that you won't know which till after midnight PST.
If yours is a click dump, and others here are reporting higher figures so far today, theirs could be click dumps too. Click dumps don't happen uniformly to everyone so the information on whether others are seeing a surge won't actually help you draw any conclusions. Unless you have some other tracking in place to compare Adsense figures with.
Hmmm...maybe it's all the people who were on holiday last week feeling sorry for me:-)
Hopefully it's not someone you know clicking on all your ads:-(
Heck...it's not that many clicks:-(
Like many trades China is a very big player in my industry and they were 90+% closed all last week plus I have noticed quite a few new advertisers and new advertisements from the regulars which were becoming a bit stale with their extended exposure.
