Adsense CTR Value and outgoing link quality.

Are the two related?

One of my sites had a sudden drop in CPM. After some time I checked the sites forum and found a link to an "adult website".

I deleted the posts, and the cpm recovered quite quickly.

Two days later the same thing happened again, same result.

Am I imagining that the two are related or does the quality (or CTR value) of adsense advertisments on a site relate to the quality of the outgoing links?

I've removed couple "unrelated" promotional outbound
links and EPC rises up (2x). But it is too early to say definetely.
Let you know after 2-3 days.
