Hi,
since May 1st my Adsense impressions have dropped by 25-30% but my traffic is the same as normal according to my logs.

Anyone else noticed the same over the last few days?
Anyone ever had a short-term problem where they just lost impressions (more than the usual Adsense reporting differences) - and did it subsequently rectify itself? Or maybe someone can suggest something I might have overlooked...

If you're not getting full coverage, the only thing you can do is run alternate ads.

Probably your getting more PSAs because Google can't find enough relevant ads.

that didn't occur to me - I was thinking that Adsense counted the PSA impressions. Thanks for that - I'll have another look about...

Actually I would have thought PSA's were counted as impressions. Not certain about that, though.

Anyway if you want to match AdSense's stats to your own logs, you should use something like a tracking image that is written out by Javascript, on the same pages as your AdSense code appears. That count should correspond quite closely to AdSense's figures of the actual number of ads viewed. Looking at something as coarse as hits or pageviews is just not accurate enough to make any statements about.

no I know - but my figures have been roughly stable for over a year - up until the last three days. Maybe it'll be one of those things that sorts itslf out just before I get to the bottom of it.
