Not sure how interesting this may be, but I just wanted to say that over the course of two days, I have exchanged emails with a support person at Google six times, and the response has always been very quick, and I've received straight-forward answers to my questions.

I wrote to them asking about the new CPM program, how it could affect my site, some features that I wish they would implement, etc.

Like I said, quick (and polite) responses, honest answers, and they even forwarded some of my ideas to the...er...whoever thinks about new stuff. hehe.

At any rate, I'm fairly impressed.

I'm also very satisfied with Google's excellent support. I've been doing adwords/adsense for a year now and always get prompt help from them everytime I encounter any problem.

I always get prompt CANNED answers - usually takes 2-3 tries before I get an ACTUAL answer and resolution.

Guess it depends on the difficulty level of the question.

If the answers were quick and straightforward how come it took six emails ;)

If they are that good I sure wish they would transfer to the search engine support because that side sux - unless you are a friend of some unnamed advisor here.

For a while I thought Google Support was good, then there was a period of time I thought it was an oxymoron.

Now I've upgraded it back to FAIR/GOOD as they did help me out in a reasonable amount of time recently.

However, my last request is on DAY 3 of the unanswered email hostage crisis so I may downgrade them back to oxymoron if there is no reply by Monday.

It took 6 emails because I kept thinking of more questions. :)

I guess I started this thread because I was all prepared to send an email to this huge company and never hear anything (seems to be the norm for me lately), and was pleasantly surprised to reach a human.

Shocking, yet enjoyable.

We also got a personal response to a problem in quick time.

While we didn't necessarily agree with the answer it arrive with the information we needed. When we asked for a clarification of one part it came back explained with in hours.
