Adsense's rate is USD1:HKD7.736, I got around US1:HKD7.785 at my local bank. Better switch back to USD check for me.

That's less than 0.7% ==> $7 per $1000. Of course I don't have extrememly high earnings where a few bucks makes much of a difference, but 0.7% seems very small in the scope of things.

Same observations here:

Depends on the amount but, it can make quite a difference.

the rates are bad. i have lost about 3% of my total earnings due to conversion in local currenncy.

the only benefit i see in local currency is ( hopefully) the reduction of time taken to encash the cheque when it reaches in local currency

The rate applied from USD to EURO was 0.759. These are the official rates (European Central Bank):

apr, 19 : 0.769468
apr, 20 : 0.766342
apr, 21 : 0.765814
apr, 22 : 0.764701
apr, 25 : 0.771248
apr, 26 : 0.770357

This means that, for every 1000$, Google kept:

apr, 19 : 10.47$
apr, 20 : 7.43$
apr, 21 : 6.81$
apr, 22 : 5.7$
apr, 25 : 12.25$
apr, 26 : 11.36$

The day to be considered is the one when Google actually sent the money to their local subsidiary. Google seems to do this process this way: the money is transfered to their, say, italian department. That's when the actual rate should be applied. Then, their local department issues the check to... me :-)
According to payment history, it looks like we should consider apr, 21 as "the" date.
