Adsense and ad blockers (ie - AdMuncher, etc)

For some time now, I have have trying to find a legeitimate solution to the problem of ad blockers (admuncher, etc) blocking Adsense ads on my website.

BTW ... In my view, what such programs do is virtually allow "theft" of my bandwidth. I am a completely honest webmaster (maybe not the most knowledgeable, but nonetheless honest); I use no banner ads, no popups or popunders, just straight text style links from Adsense. Since I do not sell anything, income from Adsense is entirely what my site is supported by.

My question is: has anyone else looked into this problem, and has anyone came up with a solution?

I did receive some advice from someone else who said that there was a script out there that could detect the use of ad blockers, and redirect to another page if any were detected. I have thought about using this, and redirecting to a page stating that I use no popups, spyware, etc., and trying to explain why they should allow my ads to be viewed.

Has anyone else tried this?

Thanks

The truth is people installing quality ad blockers have a 99.99% probability of never clicking on an ad to begin with.

People who enjoy/use your content most likely don't want to spend the time tweaking a browser or application to block your ads.
