I get two different adsense results with [domain...] and www.domain.

Does anyone know why this is.

The strange thing is I get better results with http:// as opposed to www!

Because they are treated at 2 seperate domains.

Put a 301 redirect on www.domain.com to just domain.com and it will correct itself

many threads on it here like:
[webmasterworld.com...]

just search "301 redirect htaccess"

I assume since the non-www gets better hits you may want to reverse it, but all my domains redirect the non-www to the www.domain.com

google team answer to this question:
Hello Alex,

Although the two URLs reference the same page, they are
indexed separately by our crawlers as there is the possibility that they are different pages. At this time, we are unable to control how often our crawlers index the content on your site. Crawling is done automatically by our bots. Therefore, you may see different ads when accessing one of these URLs versus the other.

I reviewed your page at [domain...]
and observed that relevant ads were displayed the majority of the time. Limitations in the current availability of ads may cause public service ads to be displayed on your pages from time to time. However, if you are seeing a high frequency of public service ads on a page where you customarily receive a variety of relevant ads, please let us know and we will investigate the issue further.

Please feel free to email us at adsense-tech@google.com if you have additional technical questions or concerns. For general program or account questions, please email adsense-support@google.com.

Sincerely,

The Google Team

Thought we weren't supposed to quote from e-mails or sites on this board?
