One my partners is suspicious that people are fraudulently clicking on our Google and Overture adverts.

We are considering using a company that provides a bit of Javascript code to track clicks and it costs about $50 per month.

I can capture the IP address on clicked ads.

My question is: Do you think that they are using something more elegant or are they just testing the IP address of clicked ads? (If it is just the IP address then I'll do it myself).

Cheers

Mick

I'd recommend using one of the companies that also drops a cookie on the user. WCW are the initials of the one I have used.

It is by no means foolproof, but if you are worried about casual competitor fraud it will track that pretty well.
