CPM dropped 75% in 24 hours

I've been tinkering with my AdWords->AdSense site a lot lately with a lot of help from a lot of people here. 2 days ago was my first profitable full day. Yesterday morning was going the same way, but throughout the day CPM dropped from $99 to $48. This morning it's at $28 and I'm losing about half of my AdWords spend. This all happened with basically no changes made on my end.

I remember someone saying something about the EPC pendulum. Should I ride this out and hope that it will swing back my way? Maybe once Google takes you down they keep you down?

Hmmm, just refreshed and I'm down to $25 CPM with 6 more clicks. Those racked up a total of $.14.

Hi,

AdSense is chaotic (in the mathematical sense), with many many factors that you'll never even be aware of. You must realistically wait several days (or I suggest at least a week to allow for each day of the week having different characteristics IMHO) before starting to draw firm conclusions.

And even then I see step changes up or down that last for a month or more, eg when G makes a SERPs algorithm update, never mind things such as Christmas.

Bizarrely, for example, over the last few days I've been replacing some AdSense slots with TribalFusion and my earnings on each of AS and TF have been good for previous AS alone, but then I did also add more content to 13,000+ pages over the last week... Who can tell?

But then maybe you know all this already.

I too tried adwords adsense combination for the first time ...on first day the epc of adsense was good and adwords expenses were met equally and on very next day epc dropped to half and am loosing adwords money a lot...may be google keeps all visitors referer info and gives adsense ads accordingly
