Don't see why not - I do.

I think there may be a grey area when a site *is* a links page with ads on it. Google may view that as a made for adsense site.

Most sites have a links section somewhere. As long as the site has proper content, then a links page is a legitimate page to put banners on. The only specific mention I can see in the TOS is that you have to keep the number of links on a page to a "reasonable number" - they quote fewer that 100.

I was going to ask about adding it also to your Site Map, seems a waste to start a new thread.

My Site Map is basically just links with no real content but key word rich and gets a few hits.

Adding Adsense would still surely benefit the visitor as the Adsense links are on topic and could result in a sale for the advertiser.

What do you think?

Aww - bless you heart, you are doing it all selflessly for the benefit of the advertisers! :) :).

I think it might be of use to read the TOS and see if there is any reason why the page wouldn't comply. It's rather difficult to offer an opinion without being able to see the page.

I would be inclined NOT to put banners on every page. People are blind to ads a lot of the time, so it may be better to put them on the pages you know the ads work on. That way they may be more visible to your visitors, and you might ultimately get a better bottom line earnings figure. My site runs to several hundred pages, but ads are on less that 15 pages, and I'm doing very nicely thank you!

I've tested adsense both on my site map and in my directory of links to sites on my topic. Adsense just doesn't do very well on them for me. I think when you have a page of links to places on your topic visitors are more likely to pick something other than an ad. I just took adsense off of those pages.

On my directory pages I've put amazon books that exactly fit the topic of each directory page instead. I left the site map plain.

I don't put AdSense on a site map, because that's a page you hope people will be using to find locations on YOUR site.

Links pages are a different story. People are leaving your site anyway, so why not put AdSense there? I have four well-organized links pages--AdSense does well on them for me.

I mostly make it so that clicking a link opens the link in a new window. That way they aren't leaving your site.
