Does Adsence help you get Crawled?

Hey Everyone,
I have a site that is very white had, lots of quality uniuqe content and offers valuable info. It has about 10 links pointed at it all from related sites with minimum PR4. I'm slowly trying to build the link pop and add content.

The site has been live for 5 1/2 months and it's still not indexed or even showing that Google has seen it. I know I may just be in the sandbox but I'm wondering if puting adsense on the index page will help?

Has anyone tested this? Does placing adsense on the site help it to get crawled and indexed. It seems as though it would help.

Any thoughts on this or experiences?

No, it will not. The two crawlers are completely separate from each other.

Doesn't get much more authoritative than that!

My experience is that adwords gets your site crawled quite fast.

5 1/2 months seems like an awful long time. Are you sure the domain is not blacklisted [webmasterworld.com]?

I second the above two posts.
Did you submit it through the Google "Submit URL"?

I would be very suprized if it is black listed. Everything is very white hat. No tricks at all. Just good content.

I submitted it a few months back. still shows nothing though.

Sounds like adsense doesn't help at all. Should I try to throw some Adwords at it? Any other ideas?

I mean blacklisted before you registered the domain, by previous owners actions.

I'm almost positive the previous owners didn't get blacklisted. Any way to check this? Would Archive.com let me look at the URL's history?

archive.org would let you know if there is a history, but not if it was banned or not. If you like, sticky me the URL and I'll have a look.

My belief is having google ads on your site does help you get found by google. Think about it in a business sense, you are displaying an ad that will make google money if a user clicks on it. Thus its in google's best interest to put your page on their results, in turn making them money. They may say this is not the case, but if it was my business that's what I'd do.

How do we test this?

Create a spammy site that runs adsense and one that doesn't. See how they both do.

I'm pretty sure that the Adsense bot doesn't share info to the Googlebot about new websites or pages.

I have a subdomain which I started a few months ago. It has about ten pages but is still under construction (will finish it sometime..) and there are no links pointing to this site. The only way Google could find this subdomain would be through Adsense. But the server logs indicate that Googlebot hasn't visited this subdomain yet.
