New content = bottom dollar?

Is there a new smart pricing filter on new content . . .

Well the Adsense roller coaster is always moving one way or the other. After a fantastic March, I'm in the doldrums for April. But one curious thing I'm noticing is that ALL new content across all my sites is getting a rate of . . .well TOS prevents me from saying . . .but lets just say the absolute bottom dollar (perhaps dollar is the wrong word!). I track all new content with channels and this is what I'm finding. Some old content is still doing alright. I realize this trend could be limited to my site. Perhaps, I've tripped up the smart pricing filter somehow. Anyways, anybody else?

I watch new content with URL channels and it's just the usual range.

I'd be interested in what others have to say, I'm planning to add 2000 hand written small articles and 100 full articles before September.

I find that new material gets top dollar for a little while--a week to a month--and then drops to the level of the rest of the site.

Curiosity,

That's what I used to find: New content was paid a little more and then smart priced down to average later. All of this was tracked with channels.

What I'm finding now is that new content is starting below avarage (since the end of March). I'm hoping it will gain with time, but it seems to be absolute bottom right now.

If the average used to be 2X then new content used to start at 3X and end up at 2X. But now it's starting at X.
