Any Adsense user from Manila?

I recently received my first cheque from Google Adsense but I don't know how to encash it. Can I just encash it in a Citibank branch eventhough I don't have any savings account there? Or do I relly need to open a USD account in any bank so I could deposit the cheque there? Pls help! I'm such a newbie to this stuff.

Hi, My suggestion is to open a Dollar Savings Account in any BDO branches because the minimun deposit they require is only $100(you're adsense check is enough to open an account), Other banks erquire atleast $1k to be able to pen a $ Account. I deposit my adsense checks in Banco De Oro. Clearing of checks will take a month though.

I remember one of our kababayan mentioned here that he is encashing his check through PNB.

Based on my experience, opening a USD savings account would be a good move because depositing your check regularly with them would build a good business relationship that facilitates the resolution of problems or questions that arise once in a while.
