My question is which categories gives highest CPM, I've heard that webhosting gives a pretty good CPM, do you have any other examples? (if you use that kind of ads, it yould be good if you writes your CPM)

The genius of AdSense is that it works well on a wide array of sites, and you don't have to choose a site's topic based on whether it's in a supposedly "hot" area.

The highest-paying areas are also the hardest ones to get much relevant traffic to. In terms of overall revenue the best strategy is to build a useful site related to something you know and care about.

I've done that, and my CTR is 0.2% and CPM is $0.34.

Based on previous messages, you are running a forum site. Forums do not get a great return, because they generate a huge number of page views from people not particularly interested in interacting with ads.

Since the site already exists and the community is established, I'm not sure how getting a list of high-paying subject areas will help you. If you try to futz with your pages to show higher-paying but nonrelevant ads, your CTR will simply drop even further.

Instead, I would read a few of the many threads here related to optimizing AdSense for use on forums.

It's not the ads in the forum, the forum ads has such low CTR so I don't even care about it, but it would be nice if I could increase the CPM abit.

this would be a question that would best be answered best by an open discussion. However, this might not be possible here at times.

Earlier tonight, I posted a link for reference and discussion purposes, to a database of all of the top-paying keywords (a goldmine!), and for some reason, it was removed?!

There have been times several of my posts have mentioned specific high-paying keywords, and these mods have removed them. However, there have been other posts where this hasnt happened.

Because of the overly restrictive TOS here, it is impossible to post URLs to sites which have good, legitimate reference material for our purposes. I mean I can see censoring self-promotion of ones own site URLs, but to censor it all, plus--to censor the mere mention of specific keywords is counter-productive IMHO.

It might be moot to develop a site around high paying keywords as smart pricing will bring you down to earth.
Ex: "Car donations" are at close to $20. I get around 30 cents.
