In one of my sites, I have a section about about affiliate programs. I see the ads of Google Adsense itself in the adsense blocks. I had also read a post some time ago about this, but cant locate it now.

Has anyone else also seen these Google Adsense ads? If yes, do you think they pay? ANy idea whats the epc of these ads? They are graphic ads.

I am just curious how you know they don't pay?

According to Jenstar, Google confirmed with her that Ads for Google services that show in Adsense are paid ads - in fact, it was posted in a thread that you started.

Obnoxious too.

I have a section with free classifieds.
Google$'s ads say something like (not an exact quote, my own wording applied): "Paying for ads that no one is going to see? Come and pay us!"

The only way you can test that if you create a separate channel for that section, and block all other advertisers on it - too much risk to take. Pretty safe bet for Google$ to only pay half the clicks, for instance.

Not that I imply they do evil things

PatrickDeese, shame on me, I just goofed.

I remembered about that thread, but I thought Jenstar said the contrary. That's why I was so categorical about that.

Apologies for my spreading of mis-information.

It's something I hate to see done by others, so it just serves me right to see how easy it is to fall for it ....

Gah!

So... google pays too :)

any idea, whats epc for google image ads?! thats a tricky one i guess. lol :))

I have three ad blocks, one top leaderboard and two med - rectangles. and all three have google ads on a particualr section.

I dont feel this maybe a high priced ad, as google wont have to bid.. or is it too fair..

what do u think

<snip>

So deside for yourself. I too see these ads at the best possible spots, and doubt G pays top dollar when there are more than 10 advertisers - as there is no definite way to prove that, AFAIK.

See if earnings on pages with ads by Google increase. If they decrease - I'd say block them.

Yes, the Google ads (ie. AdSense, Adwords, etc) definitely DO pay when a visitor clicks on them in AdSense. And yes, I did confirm this with Google, as was mentined in the earlier post.
