As a follow up to this thread;
[webmasterworld.com...]
Adsense has reinstated my account. When it was disabled, I sent an email assuring that I didn't understand why and that I very much valued the integrity of the system (both of which are true). They responded within a couple days with some questions about my website and my traffic. I answered all the questions honestly and today (a couple days since then) I received and email that says my account is reinstated. yay! The email today said that there were invalid clicks on my account, but upon further investigation, they determined that they didn't come from me. So, I will be extra super careful about checking my logs etc now, and alerting adsense if I see anything incongruent.
I have seen lots of great posts about protection measures such as blocking local ips from seeing the ads etc.
I thought maybe people would want to recap their best protection measures here. Also, any specific stats tracking programs that might help me to monitor my logs most effectively for invalid clicks?

Hey Suzy...

I also got my February earnings. Since they booted me days before the date on the check I figured I'd never see it. What a shock when I got the check in the mail last week.

I've never heard of anyone getting their checks after being booted. Is this common or is this something they do when the offense isn't as serious? I was in the program for 15 months and never had any issues with Google. I never did respond to the email that I got from them when they booted me. I figured it was a waste of time for them and myself. Now that I hear you've had good luck with talking to them... I might just reply.

Think I should?

If you honestly don't think you've done anything to violate the TOS, I don't see how sending them an email could hurt- and it certainly might help.
I've given basically all the details of my experience in this thread ie, there were not any big behind the scenes manuevers or anything that I haven't mentioned. I never spoke with any "particular" person, just emailed back and forth with "adsense support"- the whole thing was very low key and reasonable (in my opinion) without any pulling strings or anything from my end.
So, I'd say go for it, what can you lose?

Never, ever log in to your Adsense account in any PC except than your own PC... Never log in to Adsense in an internet cafe, or any public computer.

Make sure that anybody at home, at your office (the home network you are in) never clicks any Adsense banners in your web site(s).

I believe that this is a golden protection rule.

Congrats on getting your account back. That was pretty scary they dropped you. Good thing you were able to prove you generated no invalid clicks. That's why I have adsense click tracking software--as a backup to prove no wrongdoing and to check stats.
