There are many here who have received payments for June and July.
Earnings depends on so many things, such as traffic, type of site, CPC of the displayed ads, and on and on. What I earn could be completely different from what Blue_Fin earns with identical impressions and clicks.
problem is there are american cities twith th esame name as my country (Malta) so normally you'd write
Malta, europe
in an address, but I don't have that option in the account info.
Furthermore, I've had letters go to malaysia and then redirect here before as well, it all makes me pretty nervous.
Just wanting to know when it'S too early to ask google about it.
SN
Yes, it pays me good money
I had a nice small site that was making me zero money. I added adsense to the site and now I am making a nice profit.
When I took my first Adsense cheque to the bank the lady behind the counter told me that it would take over three weeks for my check to clear:
First the check would be sent off to Edinburgh.
Then it would be sent back to the USA.
The money would then be transferred from Google to the bank in the USA.
Then the money would be transferred from the bank in the USA to my bank in the UK.
Finally the money would be transferred from the bank into my account.
I informed the lady that I would be receiving these checks on a monthly bases and asked if they would have to be sent to the US every time. She explained to me that they could be paid into my account like a normal check but I would be "liable if the check bounced!". So it would be in my best interest to always send it back to the USA. I just smiled and laughed saying I don't think that the checks would bounce... "they're from Google" she looked at me with a blank expression and asked "who's Google"... *rolls eyes*
Hopefully, Google will soon be able to pay us in £
You cannot imagine how many people (even professors at my college) don't even know what Google is... in fact, some of them haven't heard of it. Last time, when my professor was suggesting different ways of researching on the web for a busienss topic, I thought Google must be his first choice when it comes to search engine. To my surprise, he praised Webcrawler, followed by tons of arguments why we ALL should use that.
I won't go on how he humiliated when I suggested Google.
I guess the class have to stuck with Webcrawler for now...
To my surprise, he praised Webcrawler,
The results in Webcrawler come from Google (amongst other places), and Google results are normally around the top, so you're not that different anyway. For very rare keywords there are sometimes extra results with webcrawler (and other meta-searches like mamma and dogpile).
To get back on topic, Adsense has got me updating and building websites again after a gap of years. One site I wrote in 1996 is now making reasonable money with Adsense, encouraging me to do more. I'd basically given up on the content business once the Burst banners became just too ugly a few years ago.
It's nice to get positive feedback from websites again: buid a better site, more people come, more money in pocket...
Google adsense has been the greatest thing to happen to me on the Internet in 5 years.
It is SO EASY. You just put the code on your page, wait 5 weeks, and a check comes!
This month might even be a multiple figure month!

Adsense not only exceeds some of the other affiliate programs I am in in terms of revenue, it exceeds ALL of them put together :)
At the moment, AdSense is #2 as a revenue source for my site, behind one of my affiliate programs. (In categories like travel, affiliate programs can do very well, and travel happens to be my topic.)
The nicest things about AdSense are:
1) It generates income from readers who are looking but haven't gotten around to booking.
2) AdSense bills advertisers up front and pays publishers faster than most affiliate programs do.
3) Because of (1 and (2), Adsense ought to help to smooth out the seasonal dips and peaks in categories like leisure travel where income traditionally has lagged behind traffic and bookings.
For those of you who are being charged by your bank to deposit cheques, take a look at Citibank. I've had an account with them for a few years and they charge me nothing to bank foriegn cheques. The balance is added to my account immediately, although the funds usually take around 10 days to clear.
