Not being too familiar with this type of advertising and its terminology I just checked my average earnings and I note that I am getting $1.35 per click. From what I hear elsewhere this seems high. Should I be pleased with myself ... :) or :(

You should be happy, on average I get about ten times less per click than you.

Wow, especially if that's the average. Can you also share what's your cpm for an epc like that?

At msg #5. When I saw BDW's post my first thought was, "how long is it going to take before someone asks that" :)

And I get 1/20th of what you're getting, so yeah... you're doing great.

I'm only averaging $0.25/click - I have to coerce at least 6 people to click to make that amount.

If I was averaging your amount I'd be earning $20K this month.

Shoot me now.

I make about $1 - $1.35 per click, but I don't get many visitors...so it pretty much evens out.
I'd rather hundreds of .25 clicks than 2-3 dollar + clicks.
**sigh** I really need to work on traffic.

My theory is that high EPC's result from niches whose advertisers sell products with high price tags (e.g., large manufacturing equipment), which is why paying a high price for each click is worth it. Most of these niches, however, inherently generate less traffic, mainly because less people are interested in these equipment.

This is just my opinion, and I would in fact love to be proven wrong. If there's a niche out there that gets a million visitors a day for an average epc of $1 upwards, then I'd gladly reverse my view on this matter. Just tell me what the niche is! (LOL)

My overall CTR is 2.3% and my CPM is 29.96 and I am in a niche market. But if this is an achievement it happened by accident. I just happened to be in a line of business that attracts high payers I suppose.

BTW before anyone gets envious, I don't have a lot of traffic. As someone said niche fields like this tend not to attract high volume traffic and I am not making a lot of money from this. I don't want to say exactly what I earn but I do get a cheque every month.

beebee:

what do you consider 'high traffic' or 'low traffic'?

In my niche I rank very high for many of the best keywords. I reckon that my site is one of the most visible in this niche and I get about 60-80 visitors per day.

My overall CTR is 2.3% and my CPM is 29.96...

But ... after all the fears about being banned, why is everybody discussing all their data so openly?

I thought that the new TOS only allowed discussions of earnings ....

Am I wrong?

I thought it was now OK to discuss this. Can anyone point me to the place on their site that details this?
