You've probably done all these things to ensure that it's not just *your* machine that is having problems, but the main ones are:
1) Clear your browser's cache and restart the browser. IE in particular can get itself in a dreadful state while looking all innocent.
2) Try a different browser. I test with IE, Opera and FF. Anything broken in all of those often really is broken.
3) Check that you do not have transient network problems. High packet loss seems to especially hurt JavaScript code (because typically unless ALL the code cannot be loaded then most of it is broken). At the moment, for example, I am having high packet loss and this renders some of my favourite sites such as HotMail and TheRegister virtually unusable. Call a friend on a different ISP a long way from you and ask them to try the same things that you are having problems with.
4) Check that your system is not infected with malware or a bad malware blocker, since both can have very strange effects!
