No response from Adsense

Its been 2 weeks, no response from Adsense

Hello everyone....

I just started a new website and after about a month of launching it, I applied for the Google Adsense account. I followed all the instructions like verifying my email address etc. ( I have adsense on my other sites, so I basically did the process correctly).

Its been 2 weeks and to date I have not recieved any response from the Adsense Team as to whether my site has been accepted or rejected. I also sent 2 other emails to the adsense support, and have not recieved any response from them either.

I am totally confused as to why I'm not getting any response from them. By prior experience with Adsense has been so good. They respond to your queries in 2-3 days. I am not sure what I should do.

Should I just apply for the Adsense account again using a new email address?
Has anyone else waited this long? They say it takes them upto 1 week but its already been 2 weeks.

Any ideas?

You aren't supposed to have more than 1 account for all your sites. If you have already been accepted just place the code on your pages.

Some people have had problems with mail from Google getting blocked by spam filters. Maybe email and ask they also cc an additional email address you have that is not being filtered with the same server.

Thanks for your responses.

1) My first site is on software products. and my new site is about tourism. They are too completely different sites. I was told by friends to get this site seperately approved for showing ads cos sometimes if your new site does not meet the Adsense guidelines, they might disable even your old account if you show ads from that account on the new site.

2) Well I did consider that possibility. So I emailed adsense support from a different email address (different provider) and enquired about this account giving them the URL of the website etc. Still no response.

As far as I know, you are not supposed to have more than one account. The fact that the sites are unrelated is not a factor.

I have many sites, on a variety of subjects. One is a creative hobby, another medical-related, yet another entertainment-related. All are using the same Adsense account with no problems. Like others have said, just stick with the account you have. That's the only option Google gives us, anyway! ;-)

If G has a problem, it will not be with the fact that you placed the ads on your new site, thats what you're supposed to do (see above), they might have a problem with your new site if it doesn't comply with the TOS in which case you'll know about it. :)

Heehee, totally unrelated to AdSense but just wanted to point out that I wrote the Google Support team awhile back and their reply email landed directly into my SPAM box. Now the funny thing is that I was using their very own Gmail service and I didnt even touch the Spam settings (its the same default settings) LOL.

Just my two cents - I participate in the adsense program with several sites on different topics and in different languages. Adsense will crawl your site, after you have placed the code, then proceed to crawl the site to find out about the content of the site. After that they will start showing ads that apply to the content of the pageyou have the code on. I agree, you should not have more than one account. I would contact support, explain you made a mistake and ask that one account be closed.

It seems that many of us are running several sites of totally unrelated content. That's diversification at work! Google probably knew early on that publishers wouldn't want to put all their eggs in one basket nor limit themselves to just one area, so it was really good strategy on their part to just let each publisher have a single account (which saved them lots of admin time).

Yes it might be, send them another email explaining you have made a mistake and you have used your existing publisher code on the new web site, they will reply back with a canned reply saying you don't need to contact us each time you put the code on another web site but a least it puts you in the clear for a possible duplicate account which you do not need and further more you are not allowed to have.

Listening to everyone makes it clear that I should'nt have more than one account. But dont you think its better to have seperate accounts for each website.....that way you know how many clicks are being generated on each site and how much revenue you are getting from each one.

Anyways that still doesnt explain , why Google hasnt responded for 2 weeks now. I mean even if this is the case, they could reply back saying, "You dont have to create a new account blah blah blah".

I've even sent two emails using the form on their website enquiring whether my site is still under review or whether or not my application was successfully submitted. Still no reponse. I'm afraid Google Adsense Department has gone on vacation :)

You can use either the regular, or the url channels, to get seperate numbers for each site.

You can accomplish this tracking using Channels. I'm using a combination of URL and Custom channels to track which types of ads are generating clicks along with which parts of a site. If you create URL channels just for the root of your multiple sites you can get a good breakout of statistics for each site.

The reason Google wants you to have only one account is that they want to cancel all your sites at once if you do something against TOS. They don't have to hunt down all the hidden accounts registered with dozens of domains.

If you have more than one accounts, Google may thinnk you are tying to hide something... and cancel both accounts.

Well thats news for me. Thanks guys I did'nt know you could get statistics for different websites using one account.

I just emailed Google telling them that I already have an Adsense account and without knowing I applied for a new account for the new website. I've asked them whether I can start using the ads on my new site or should I wait for a response from them.

Although I've sent the email, I dont think I'm going to get any response from them. Just out of curiosity, before when I used to send an email to Adsense support, I immediately got back an automated response giving me a ticket number. But now, I dont even recieve that. So I'm wondering whether they are even recieving my emails or not.

I had a similar problem with my adsense after I registered with a hotmail account but with my gmail I got through instantly.

So what did u do...Did they eventually reply on your hotmail account OR did you reapply again using your gmail account.

I applied using my gmail account itself - still no response.
