Well surprise surprise I get a email today (not in Gmail BTW) and it has something like this in it:
<!-- START_GOOGLE_AD_CODE -->
<map name="google_ad_map_abc">
<area shape="rect" href="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/userfeedback"
coords="8,3,88,19" target="_blank">
<area shape="rect" href="http://imageads.googleadservices.com/pagead/imgclick/abc/123?pos=0"
coords="2,22,298,94" target="_blank">
<area shape="rect" href="http://imageads.googleadservices.com/pagead/imgclick/abc/123?pos=1"
coords="2,98,298,170" target="_blank">
<area shape="rect" href="http://imageads.googleadservices.com/pagead/imgclick/abc/123?pos=2"
coords="2,173,298,245" target="_blank">
</map>
<img src="http://imageads.googleadservices.com/pagead/ads?output=png&format=300x250_abgnc_img&client=ca-publisher_300x250&hl=en&backfill=1&cuid=abc&issue=123"
usemap="#google_ad_map_abc" border=0>
<!-- END_GOOGLE_AD_CODE -->
I would like to have this in MY NEWSLETTERS too. I went to adsense and can't find any settings how to get this and I search here and nothing. and I google for it and I don't get nothing. Anybody know how to do this? or is it something cute and clever that outfit came up with? Doesn't this violate TOS if they tweaked around with google's code. The cool thing about this code is that it doesn't have javascript in it!
Someone who knows more than me please shed light and share so we can all do this! The key is the dynamic image. I want to generate me one of those for my emails.

[edit reason] Removed all publisher specific code [/edit]
I WANT IT. Scream for it. All Join me. Pressure Google for it. Everybody write them and say you want it (if you do).
WE WANT IT TOO.
In USA we hold these believs to be self evident that all
people are created equal.
Why should some selected get this huge privilege and not all?
Sorry about the publisher specific info.
And now I am beginning to believe Google is evil.

Not in business. (Or in selecting sites for beta tests.)
"Please note that at this time, we do not permit Google ads to be placed in
newsletters. However, if we decide to test this feature, we will be sure
to consider you for participation."
I replied to that email and asked to clarify if they are NOT allowing it or only on a selected basis.
